IDĘ + OGRÓDEK

two short films in production

ROCK THROUGH WATER (2026)

a short film exploring rock textures as seen through water in the Lake District near past mining grounds.

‘ROCK THROUGH WATER’ is a study of abstract forms created by the movement of water over rock. Balancing between pure abstraction and ecological study, the film is composed of close shots which partially detach meaning from object, inviting a new way of seeing.
The score, composed by KRZYSZTOF ZUBEK and performed by The Bauhaus Strings, creates a uniform yet constantly shifting abstract texture out of the natural sound of the string ensemble, inviting a dynamic interplay between visuals and sound. The film was recorded in the Lake District, with rock demonstrating a crossover point between the natural environment and human activity in an area where the mining and quarrying shape the landscape.

The full film will screen at The Bauhaus Festival on May 22nd 2026 in London, UK. more details here

barbican (2025)

a short film exploring visual and sonic textures around the barbican.

‘barbican’ is a study of visual and sonic textures recorded in and around the barbican. The film highlights the building materials and their origin, as well as the aural and visual landscape of the barbican through close-up shots and close-up sound textures. Revealing the natural within the artificial, the film challenges our perception of  brutalist architecture, and invites a consideration of human architecture and its place within nature.

Commission for The Guildhall Bauhaus ‘Barbican New Vision’ project in November 2025.
